Please Report to the Garage

At last!! The long-awaited (or dreaded) Funky Snake Oil reunion album, Please Report to the Garage, is now available for purchase or streaming on Bandcamp, iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Google Play, and probably some other places.

In addition to the album (or single tracks, if you prefer), there is a very limited amount of groovy merchandise available on Bandcamp. If we sell it all, we’ll make more available.

We are doing this for fun, and we hope you enjoy it. Any profits generated from this endeavor are being donated to a worthy cause.

Huh? Funky Snake Oil?

For some of you, I suspect an explanation is in order.

If you came here seeking your great-great-grandmother’s long-lost liniment recipe for soothing aching bunions, you are most definitely in the wrong place.

Funky Snake Oil is a band formed by a group of misfit teenagers in 1989 in Alexander City, Alabama that played numerous house parties and assorted gatherings for a brief period spanning its year of formation to the graduation of most of its members from Benjamin Russell High School in 1991. Nope, it wasn’t artistic differences that led to disbandment, just plain old matriculation.

Except for the occasional one-off performance by bits and pieces of the band in the early ‘90s, all was quiet on the Funky Snake Oil front until December 17, 2016. On that date, the original members of the band (accompanied by a few compatriots) reunited after 25 years for a one-day recording session, the fruits of which (rotten or otherwise) will be released soon.

In the meantime, this is the place where our stories will be told. We hope you enjoy them.

Welcome to Buttnik Town.
